Maple Hill School not only focuses on students’ academic performance, but also cares about their social responsibilities. Each semester, all of our students are encouraged to take part in at least one community service activity. This time, all school members were divided into three groups to volunteer at the Richmond Food Bank, Aberdeen Skytrain Station and Minoru Community Center.

Jim Liu, a Grade 11 student, says he feels such volunteering activities are very meaningful, not only because they are helpful for students’ college applications, but also because they help to cultivate the sense of social responsibilities. “I also feel good about getting away from classroom for some time,” Jim says.
