Field Trips
From visits to museums and art galleries, volunteering at food banks and contributing to the needy, to outdoor excursion trips where students not only have fun but also see knowledge at work in the real world and experience hands-on, real life interaction with a subject, Maple Hill School recognizes the educational value of field trips in enriching and reinforcing students’ learning experiences of the curriculum and providing an opportunity to apply their school learning in situations outside the classroom.
As students’ safety is the primary consideration of all field trips, field trips are at all times supervised by certified teachers and staff members, who are equipped with the knowledge of the necessary procedures when contingencies arise.
Field trips are held twice during the fall and winter terms. While all the associated costs are covered through the student activity fees, students only need to worry about dressing themselves fit for the activity and bringing/purchasing their own food and water.
